All About Margie of The Trip Chicks®

"Keep moving, keep playing, keep learning and loving!"

Born and raised in Georgia, long-time Atlanta resident and family gal Margie Wills-Bowen has led a very active lifestyle.
As a career Health and Physical Education high school teacher, she coached a variety of high school sports teams, including gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, soccer, diving, and cross-country.  Her mantra has always been “play hard and give everything your best effort.”

Margie herself has done just that. She is currently the Assistant Director of Rec Sports and Wellness at Atlanta’s Mercer University. As an enthusiastic hiker, Bowen is well known on metro Atlanta hiking trails. During 2016 alone, she climbed Georgia’s Stone Mountain 300 times. By the end of 2018, Margie will have reached her personal goal of 1,000 climbs!

Margie’s favorite country on the planet is Switzerland, where in her youth she was a summer exchange student near Lake Constance. Over the years she has kept in touch with her Swiss host family, and was thrilled to visit them again in summer 2017.  Hiking in the glorious Swiss Alps once more was her dream come true.  In her technical support, sales representative, and assistant tour manager roles with The Trip Chicks®,  Margie is excited about taking more time to travel the globe, especially Europe.  Married to her high school sweetheart Dale, she feels especially proud of the couple’s two adult daughters and four lively grandchildren.
